Today more and more people are interested in learning how to become more participatory in their healthcare and the healthcare of their pets.
Complementary health care indeed complements, or "completes" traditional healing. Not only because it serves both mind and body but it also requires a balance of both intellect and intuition. Craniosacral therapy is not an intellectual process and when approached as such there will be resistance and benefits minimized. Only when a body is free of such resistance can the energy work in the direction of balance and healing. When we recognize that such resistance is generated from the intellect that does not yet understand, we can relax both the mind and the body by suspending our need to intellectually understand and instead put our intuitive TRUST into having the EXPERIENCE first.
Craniosacral therapy is the means I have chosen to assist my clients in body awareness and the "letting go" process which is paramount to health. Specifically, Craniosacral therapy is osteopathic manipulation. In lay terms that means, when attending the alignment of the body, the practitioner takes the body where it wants to go for a position of release. When the body is in alignment there are fewer to no restrictions present which may lend disease a place to begin.
It is from my trust and comfort in the silence with horses and dogs that the words for, Tuning In: Equine Craniosacral Therapy and Somato-Emotional Release were born.
